We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrical Engineer/Electrician to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: The Industrial Electrical Engineer/Electrician will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical/electronic circuits, as well as electro-pneumatic systems and control panels. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical design, simulation, and familiarity with various electrical design software. The role requires knowledge of electro-pneumatics, electrical control circuits, industrial-grade sensors, AC and DC actuators, control and safety instruments, and various other industrial components and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems and control panels according to IEC standards.
- Create and manage electrical Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Perform simulations using at least one electrical design and simulation software suite, such as Altium Designer, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, Proteus, Eagle, KiCAD, MultiSim, and/or EPLAN.
- Develop and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
- Design and build electrical control panels, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Work with electro-pneumatic systems, designing and troubleshooting electrical control circuits.
- Integrate and configure optical fibers, sensors, encoders, resolvers, industrial cameras, robot controllers, and AC/DC actuators.
- Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Qualifications:
- College diploma, Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field (PhD would be an asset)
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrical Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in electrical design software, such as Altium Designer, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, Proteus, Eagle, KiCAD, MultiSim, and/or EPLAN.
- Strong understanding of IEC standards and electrical control panel design.
- Experience with electro-pneumatics and electrical control circuits of pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with optical fibers, various types of industrial sensors, encoders, resolvers, industrial cameras, robot controllers, and AC/DC actuators.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical engineering.
